Freedom....

As I retire for the night a feeling of happiness, a bit naughtiness and satisfaction engulfs me. My kids exams are over and we are mentally free for 2months but I know that tomorrow boredom will also start as I have nothing to nag my kids on to and they too will feel mom isn't bothered about us. Freedom I wonder......... Is it what we do as we wish or is it the feeling that makes us think that we are free to do anything............ but sensibly.

Just a thought

I have seen many people react in different ways regarding games. From our childhood we grow up playing with toys , be it intelectual ,sentimental games such as caring for dolls or pets and some games just for the sake of fun ie time pass, but nowadays I have seen that when we talk of games people talk only about the the popular games in market and just in case you happen to play a childish game they give you a weird look or tease you. Why are we so bound to society that we have to change for others and not to please us . I am a person who enjoy all types of games but what I have noticed when I see my family playing zombie or such games you are emotionaly and mentally tied up till you finish coz you are mentally fighting a war but at the same time if we play building games or join the dot etc why do people react in a funny way,  we hear comments like ' Are you a small kid?  Are you jobless? ' etc but actually what We are doing is enjoying as well as relaxing our mind and soul, just pure enjoyment . I know there are many who want to play or do play but are bound to keep quiet. As we grow, we grow up to be children again so teach our children that there is nothing wrong in being a child, it all depens on what you want, not to prove others that you are an updated person. It's a must to have knowledge of things but not necessary to apply when you don't want to.

Same goes with crying. It a gift that god has given us to clean our heart from worries and that ever drop fallen from our eyes has been given utmost importance by god that he pays back tears with joy but no where in any religion I have heard that it is given only to women. God has balanced a Man's and a women's strength in different ways which cannot be tallied then why is it  some men feel ashamed to cry. Teach your children that it's ok to cry when hurt don't tease them.

Teach your children the importance of growing plants, in earlier years there were a lot of kitchen gardens, now most of them are replaced with rare species of orchids roses etc growing vegetables are not into consideration at all, make a kitchen garden for them and let them plant the seeds of vegetables and fruits they like this way they get natural food as well as liking for nature too

These are some thoughts that came to my mind if you have suggestions or comment please feel free

Boredom

Boredom is what I define as something that we have achived and there is nothing more to do. Its an empty mind (a devils workshop).  Lets look at it this way, children look forward for the weekends or holidays and when its the last working day they feel happy and content that there is no school the next day were after playing, watching tv, reading etc they get tired of all this and end up saying "I am bored'.  What about adults?   During  holidays or weekends we enjoy getting up late and going slow with things, after a few weeks we feel that time and work are getting out of our hands and would like to get back to routine but as the routine starts we get bored.  I feel the true pleasure lies in lazing around.  When we know that  hell lot of work is to be done but try to sneak out some time to relax and have a cup of tea or  watch tv or  gossip with a friend,  and that I feel is the true pleasure of life.

Bahrain

Bahrain is a small country with two seas which explains the name Bahrain which means land with two seas.  Its nice to be in Bahrain during Eid holidays.   You get to see a lot of tourist and Bahrainies and is a blend of  trends and styles.  The atmosphere is so lively that even if you dont celebrate Eid you have a festive feeling around you.  You feel everyone one is here to celebrate and to share the same joy as you do.  The malls and play areas are packed with people. The kids joy can be clearely seen on their faces. The parents have a satisfied look on them seeing their kids enjoy.   The kids dont feel bored while their parents do some  shopping coz the kids are busy watching people, their dressing style ,wondering which ice cream are they eating or which new toy does the other kid have.  They get the feeling that they are not the only ones who are going through the same phase.  The malls have water theme park and play areas in which parents and kids enjoy equally so they wait with patience not to spoil the mood of their parents coz they too are aware of the joy the parents get to be a child again.  In short Bahrain is a small bundle of package with great joy.

Eid Al Fitr

This is the celebration that marks the end of the month of Ramadan. Its like you have purified youself by restricting from all bad things and starting a new life style to improve onself from all bad habbits.  This day men  women and children  attend the Eid prayer.  It is usually conducted in open grounds.  Muslims wear new clothes this day looking their very best to stand in front of Allah asking him to accept the good deeds they have done in the entire month of Ramadan and to thank him.  Children ofcourse look forward for this day coz starting from the mosque people bring basket full of sweets cakes  juices etc which they distribute among children.  Then they go to their grandparents house for the morning breakfast.  Elders give the children 'Eidiya' which means 'Eid gift' in the form of money, toys or gifts.  It is a way of thanking them for fasting and encouraging them to do more in the forthcomming years .  Talking of Ediya I remeber the enthusiasm we had to visit all our friends and relatives to collect money from each and everyone.  At the end of the day we sit and count to see if anyone has got more than us and there used to be fights coz our elder brothers or sisters come behind us to borrow our money or to negociate. After the holidays we go to the toy stores to spend that money on whatever we like. We go visiting our friends , relatives  neighbours or have a getogather in a park or hotel etc.The families who give us the highest amount of Eidiya are noted and parents are forced to visit that house every year for Eid.  In India they prepare special sweets like sevayya or semiya as called in the south. The sweet tooth people enjoy the best of their lives in these three days of Eid .  Then we prepare biryani which again is a famous dish prepared for lunch.  The three days of Eid are spend in meeting  greeting and rejoicing in such a way that when we  get back to our normal life we are happy that we have spend the best of our days with our family and friends or even met people whom you havent met for a long time..
